Kathe Kollwitz: Maria and Elizabeth

Kathe Kollwitz created this showing two expectant mothers mourning together. Elizabeth is on the left and Mary is on the right. I chose this specific piece of art because it shows the sadness that a lot of her work does during of the time of war but it is different because it is a woodcut instead of a drawing or a sculpture.
